ELPL Variable Spectrum LED Grow Lights

EconoLux Industries Provides an innovative Variable Spectrum (VS Series) of LED plant/grow lights which allow you to adjust the spectrum of light output to suit the growth phases (vegetative, flowering, fruiting) stages of your plants.

The VS series features dimmers to control the Blue LEDs, the Red LEDs, and/or the ELPL COB light engines, which can be the PAR series or the BMC series. This allows the user to vary the spectrum to accommodate different phases of plant growth.

Spectrum: The VS-3 series comes with your choice of the ELPL-COB-PAR series or the ELPL-BMC COB series. The ELPL-COB-100W-P light engine chips, produce a spectrum with a 90% match to the PAR curve for general purpose growing:

ELPL VS-2 180W, 16 band (wavelength), Model

ELPL VS-2 Variable Spectrum LED Grow Light The EconoLux Industries ELPL VS-2 LED plant/grow light is our 180W, 16 band, entry level model with somewhat close match to the PAR curve. It produces 602 PAR/PPFD at a distance of 30cm, (1 ft) - that's 3.34 PPDFD/Watt.

The Vs-2 has 60 pieces of 3 Watt high-efficiency LEDs, divided into 2 banks of 30, each bank controlled by one of two dimmers. One dimmer controls the blue LEDs, and the other dimmer controls the red LEDs.  By adjusting the dimmers, the user can vary the spectrum to suit the needs of the plant's current growth phase (Vegetative, pre-flowering, flowering, and fruiting or budding).


ELPL VS-2 Features

Spectrum: The VS-2 has a reasonably close match to the PAR curve (about 70%), the spectrum of light that plants need to grow and thrive. The chart below shows the VS-2 standard spectrum (as the human eyes sees it - dashed blue line), and the PAR curve (dashed green line set to 70%) overlaid onto the VS-2 PPFD* spectrum - pink line) the light that plants use, with both dimmers set to 100%.

ELPL VS-2 Variable Spectrum LED Grow Light dimmers

Dimmers: The ELPL VS-2 is equipped with two dimmers for independent control of the brightness of the Blue and Red LED  lights. This allows you to vary the spectrum, giving your plants the spectrum they need to maximize plant growth and crop yield.

Bands/Wavelengths: The ELPL VS-2 uses 14 different bands (wavelengths) of high efficiency 3 Watt LEDs, plus white, plus our proprietary B-Rand X-S LED chips; 16 bands (wavelengths) in total, to insure the best spectrum. Twice as many bands as used in most typical high end LED grow lights.

Optics: Each of the 60 high efficiency, 3 Watt LEDs in the VS-2 are equipped with a supplementary 60 degree lens to focus the light onto your plants, maximizing intensity.

AC Power: The VS-2 can operate on 100V to 250V, 50/60 Hz AC power, its suitable for use almost anywhere. The AC socket has an integrated RFI/EMI filter to reduce problems from “dirty” power. The VS-2 uses a standard IEC computer type power socket, making it easy to obtain cables with the correct plugs locally. The VS-2 also has an IEC power output socket to daisy chain fixtures together.

Hanging Points: The VS-2 is equipped with 4 heavy-duty brass eyebolt style hanging points on the back for suspending the light over your plants.
We provide 4 aircraft-cable type wires, each 33cm long (12.8"), with clips at one end and loops at the other end, for use with the hanging points.

Heat Sensor: The Vs-2 LED plant/grow light fixture is equipped with an internal heat sensor that turns the LEDs off if their temperature exceeds 70C (158F).  This can protect your fixture against over-heating damage.

ELPL VS-3 Variable Spectrum LED Grow Light The EconoLux Industries ELPL VS-3 LED plant/grow light is our 550W, 24 band, model, with a very close match to the PAR curve.  It produces ??? PAR/PPFD at a distance of 30cm, (1 ft) - that's ?,?? PPDFD/Watt.

The ELPL VS-3 utilizes four of our ELPL-COB-100W advanced light engines with 90~95% match to the PAR curve, in addition to a central array of 48 pieces of high-efficiency LEDs, divided into 2 banks of 24 LEDs. The 4 COB light engines and each bank of 24 central LEDs is controlled by one of three dimmers. One dimmer controls the blue LEDs, another dimmer controls the red LEDS, while the third dimmer controls the 4 pieces of ELPL-COB-100W light engines. By adjusting the dimmers, the user can vary the spectrum to suit the needs of the plant's current growth phase (Vegetative, pre-flowering, flowering, and fruiting/budding).
